Michael Kors
When I first heard Michael Kors was going to be doing plus sizes I was over the moon but when I got a glimpse at the first collection I was quickly brought down to earth (same as with Calvin Klein) – subsequent collections have not done anything to send me back into orbit.
I’m not an idiot, I know Michael Kors isn’t hands on with his lower end of the spectrum lines but instead of insulting wanna be designers on Project Runway maybe he should take a closer look at what is being put out under his name. Case in point:
There is nothing really original at all and the one piece that does have beauty and originality doesn’t seem well thought out. I mean I think this top is beautiful looking but how practical is it when it comes to wearing it? Wouldn’t you have to constantly be readjusting it?
Don’t get me wrong there ARE some worth while styles it just seems to me that there are more misses than hits and again, nothing special. Take this top and this dress:
I like them but it isn’t anything several other designers are doing. Plus size women are DESPERATE for some stylish clothes that aren’t garbage and as a result expectations are higher.
If I haven’t totally turned you off and you want to buy Michael Kors Plus Size
Bloomingdales does carry Michael Kors but Nordstrom and Macy’s have the best selection.
