Ellen Tracy
As I sit and write this I’ve known about the demise of the Ellen Tracy Plus Size Bridge Line for several months now (shortly followed by the demise of the entire bridge line) and I’m still sick about it because like Dana Buchman’s Plus Size Bridge Line, Ellen Tracy’s line did it all: Fashionable High Quality Plus Size Suits For Work, Great Plus Size Fashion Jackets and every season seemed to offer some great outerwear and some styles suitable for evening wear.
As it stands now in terms of Ellen Tracy Plus Size a licensee is producing Ellen Tracy Outerwear. It certainly isn’t inline with the $600-$900+ coats and jackets that were done under the bridge line but they are certainly feasible and retail in the $200-$400 range. As of now Bloomingdale’s has a few styles (Click Any Image To View Or Buy):

In the Spring of 2010 Macy’s will be introducing an exclusive Ellen Tracy Sportswear Collection but reading about the price points I don’t hold out too much hope for anything to spectacular and as of now we don’t even know if they will be doing the line in plus size.
My site (www.14to24w.com) has a VERY LIMITED selection of some remaining high end Ellen Tracy.
