I’m not totally ga-ga over this new Marina Rinaldi Embroidered Cotton Blouse that just popped at Saks but there has been such a lull lately in new arrivals and sales and the selection of Marina Rinaldi online is quite limited so I figured: what the heck?
The blouse is done in a lightweight stretch cotton and has an empire waist.

It can be worn casually over a simple top with jeans but I think it is best put to use as a great little jacket to throw over a dress to ward off a winter or air-conditioned chill while providing some coverage for those of you who like me prefer a bit of coverage for the upper arm area.

I love Melissa Masse’s dress line because it tends to be quite diverse. If you’re a Masse fan you’ve no doubt seen her stained glass print dresses along with her tapestry dress but she also does dresses that are suitable for work and still others that will serve you well at a special occasion.

I love, love, love this dress by Johnny Was!
Johnny Was Plus Size Silk Dress
I’ll be honest: I don’t usually go for an all-over print – I don’t know if it’s because I tend to be a classic dresser or because most of the prints I see these days range from ho-hum to flat out horrifying but this beautiful print dress from Johnny Was has got my attention.
And you know, sometimes it’s fun to mix it up a bit. People are so used to me dressing in my usual grays, blacks and navy that its fun every once in awhile to shake things up. I remember buying a gorgeous print Lafayette 148 dress once and wearing it to a family gathering, and people gushed about how gorgeous it was and how it was such an unexpected look for me and well, it was fun!
So if you’re like me, go crazy and snatch this baby up and throw the people in your life for a loop! It just popped up at Saks for $325 but they have it at Neimans for $290 (CLICK HERE)

Unfortunately, it can be hard to find plus size shells that are both silk and are done in a pretty print so when I saw this beauty at Talbots.com I knew I had to feature it here.

I often find the styles done under the Michael Kors plus size banner to be off in terms of prints and/or color but I think they got this one right with its pretty classic sapphire blue color and tasteful white beaded embellishment – while it’s not cutting edge by any means it is a very nice, classic and wearable style.

I was really excited when I first saw this unique “snowfall” swing jacket by Eileen Fisher as it was a bit of a departure for the Eileen Fisher line with it’s two tone ombre like effect. I was less than exited about the $518 price tag (which is a bit high for Eileen Fisher) and I guess others felt the same because practically the minute Neiman Marcus marked it down it sold out and not long after Nordstrom marked it down the 2x and 3x quickly sold out and not long after so did the 1x . . .
But I’m happy to report Neiman Marcus has restocked this jacket and as of this writing it is back in stock in all sizes: 1x, 2x, & 3x at 35% OFF it’s original price.
