Add Nordstrom to the list of online stores that now carry Lafayette 148 Plus Size – I’ve seen it in Missy Sizes on their site but plus sizes are new to Nordstrom.com
Bloomingdales started carrying it on their site a few months back and the Saks’ website has carried it for as long as I can remember.
Now is certainly the time to check it out as Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale is on until August 2nd and certain styles can sell very quickly during the sale.
Of the selection I’m especially fond of this brocade jacket (although I’d probably wear it without the belt and just snip the belt loops off):

Neiman Marcus continues to be the place to go when looking for the largest selection of Plus Size Johnny Was. For a long time Johnny Was styles primarily revolved around really pretty embroidery but in the last few years their line started to include some really unique silk prints and I’m happy to see that continue . . .

It’s always a treat to see new Marina Rinaldi styles since there is hardly ever a plentiful selection online so each new Rinaldi sighting seems like a bit of a treat. The styles are quite classic – I’m especially fond of the cape coat. Classic Chic – which I LOVE!!!!!

Hello, ladies! A couple of weeks ago I wrote about the new line: Violet Kay (Spencer Alexis Fans Rejoice!) In a nutshell it is a line from the original Spencer Alexis designer and as many of you had hoped it is essentially the same which stands to reason as the designer is the same! As of now the only place selling it online is Dillard’s but as of now they only have the signature black tank and matching skirt in plus size:
They do have two new styles in Missy sizing so just to show you that the style is the same here are the missy styles they currently have online:

In the meantime if you are a fan please do everything you can to support this new brand so it doesn’t go away! The apparel industry can be very tough for a new brand so please be sure to tell anyone and everyone you know that was a fan of the old Spencer Alexis that the style is back and to contact their local Nordstrom or Dillard’s if they are looking to buy.
While Nordstrom’s online plus size shop can tend to gear towards the younger more contemporary shopper you always need to keep an eye on it for a couple of reasons in my opinion:
1) Their selection of reasonably priced plus size dresses is unparalleled
2) Their store brand (Caslon) is really good for well made basics
3) New Eileen Fisher plus size styles and/or new Misook plus size styles
But another reason to keep on eye on Nordstrom is they tend to come up with brands I’ve never heard of or seen before. This is currently the case with the brand Bellatrix. They just recently added a new silk floral blouse in two different colors from this brand at the very reasonable price of $84:
Now I do not know at the present time if Bellatrix is a brand that does plus size styles in general or if they are doing them exclusively for Nordstrom (as was the case with the Lily brand of dresses). Regardless, looking at their missy size offerings (below) I certainly hope to see more of this brand in the future!
Melissa Masse keeps plugging along and making great plus size dresses for both both work and play!

Summer is the perfect time for Johnny Was and Saks has just listed a few new Johnny Was Plus Size styles. While I’m not a huge fan of the lumberjack looking shirt or the addition of the signature Johnny Was floral embroidery added to a horizontal striped top:
I am a fan of the other new additions which include both plus size dresses and tops:
If you like the navy top Neiman’s did just currently list it on their site as well for $15 less:
they also just recently added two other new Johnny Was Plus Size Tops – a great white embroidered wrap tag, along with a brown silk:

A new Citron plus size style popped up today at Dillard’s – they’re calling it a “Buttefly Print Duster” but I see more floral than butterfly so I’m calling it a “Floral Print Tunic” so there.

I sold Spencer Alexis for a few years on my retail site (www.14to24w.com) and while the style wasn’t for everyone the ladies I had who loved the style were rabid fans – I honestly had customers who told me they wept when they found out Spencer Alexis was going out of business. Well dry those tears Spencer fans because the original Spencer Alexis designer has a new line! It’s called Violet Kay (or perhaps it’s just Violet K. – I was SO EXCITED I didn’t ask!)
Anywho: it’s currently at the better Dillard stores in Florida, Dallas and Arizona and should be in the plus size departments in Nordstrom throughout the country. I would suggest calling first to inquire.
From what I understand Dillard’s may start offering it online but Nordstorm as of now will not 
The brand is pretty new so there won’t be much overstock for me to buy right now BUT I am going to try and get some samples to sell on my retail site and if/when I do I will share the photos here as well.
