Hello, ladies! A couple of weeks ago I wrote about the new line: Violet Kay (Spencer Alexis Fans Rejoice!) In a nutshell it is a line from the original Spencer Alexis designer and as many of you had hoped it is essentially the same which stands to reason as the designer is the same! As of now the only place selling it online is Dillard’s but as of now they only have the signature black tank and matching skirt in plus size:
They do have two new styles in Missy sizing so just to show you that the style is the same here are the missy styles they currently have online:

In the meantime if you are a fan please do everything you can to support this new brand so it doesn’t go away! The apparel industry can be very tough for a new brand so please be sure to tell anyone and everyone you know that was a fan of the old Spencer Alexis that the style is back and to contact their local Nordstrom or Dillard’s if they are looking to buy.

While Nordstrom’s online plus size shop can tend to gear towards the younger more contemporary shopper you always need to keep an eye on it for a couple of reasons in my opinion:
1) Their selection of reasonably priced plus size dresses is unparalleled
2) Their store brand (Caslon) is really good for well made basics
3) New Eileen Fisher plus size styles and/or new Misook plus size styles
But another reason to keep on eye on Nordstrom is they tend to come up with brands I’ve never heard of or seen before. This is currently the case with the brand Bellatrix. They just recently added a new silk floral blouse in two different colors from this brand at the very reasonable price of $84:
Now I do not know at the present time if Bellatrix is a brand that does plus size styles in general or if they are doing them exclusively for Nordstrom (as was the case with the Lily brand of dresses). Regardless, looking at their missy size offerings (below) I certainly hope to see more of this brand in the future!
Melissa Masse keeps plugging along and making great plus size dresses for both both work and play!
