New Eileen Fisher Markdowns Marked Down 40%:

Besides the new markdowns there are also some styles that got an increase in the discount amount . . . this Eileen Fisher dress was 40% OFF and now it’s 60% OFF ($98.90):

As readers will most likely know I’ve been keeping track of the new Citron plus size styles at Dillard’s since they recently started carrying Citron plus size on their site shortly after Nordstrom stopped. Since I’ve been keeping track Dillard’s started with 2 styles then added another 2 and then another. Well, the pattern is broken as Dillard’s does have new Citron available but it’s only one style this time:

It is silk and they’re calling it the “Morning Glory” jacket – it has angel sleeves and as with most Citron styles it is machine washable (hooray!)
The lovely Ann who was kind enough to leave an encouraging comment on the site has alerted me to the fact that Kohl’s is now carrying Dana Buchman plus size. Now I think we all knew going in that if/when this happened that the quality wasn’t going to be anywhere near what we were used to but it had been my hope that the styles would measure up to what we were used to. Alas, that is not the case
But I am NOT giving up. I’m hoping it’s just because it’s early or they haven’t gotten all of their styles up on the site yet. I will visit Kohl’s this weekend and see if the selection in the stores is any better and report back.

Update Monday, Sept. 28th: I went to the Kohl’s in Salem, NH this weekend and unfortunately, as of now, the selection is the same as online. My hope is that they are testing the market for Plus Size Dana Buchman and if there is enough of a demand they will increase the selection of styles. Let us all hope that the fact that the initial selection isn’t exactly compelling doesn’t endanger any future Dana Buchman for plus sizes may have.

New Eileen, Yippee!
Okay, first things first we have the “Snowfall Jacquard Jacket” which is remarkable for 2 reasons:
1) I think it may be the closet thing I’ve ever seen Eileen Fisher do in terms of an actual “print”
2) It’s an eye-popping (for Eileen Fisher, anyway) $518 – my theory had been that Eileen Fisher was cutting pricing a bit due to the recent economic climate – well, there goes that theory 
Next we have a great drawstring waist sweater dress ($338) – I like it because, well it’s gray (and I LOVE gray – boring of me, I know but I can’t help it) and I tend to like drawstring waists on dresses as opposed to belts – it gives the waist a bit of definition with out blousing up and my having to fiddle with it all the time.
Next is the pintuck sweater ($188) – it also comes in Charcoal but this new “Dark Blueberry” color is so pretty I had to feature it instead:
And finally we have the ribbed Merino Wool cardigan ($248) – it seems like a new cut to me – it also comes in the new “Dark Blueberry” color listed above.

Saks has added some new items marked down by 30% to their Salon Z sale pages – among the markdowns is my favorite, favorite Eileen Fisher jacket:
