If you’ve had a chance to visit our page that discusses Macy’s INC International Concepts brand you’ll see where I mention that while it is essentially a contemporary brand it pays to keep an eye on it because they often do styles that are appropriate for a large age range and I think this dress illustrates that belief perfectly:

Neiman Marcus has been carrying Anna Scholz for awhile now and a few months ago Saks jumped on board but they had the same styles as Neiman’s – well, this season Saks has 3 great Anna Scholz styles that have yet to appear on Neiman Marcus’ site:
Left To Right: Wrap Dress ($375), Silk Wrap Dress ($525), Double Breasted Trench Coat ($450)

As has been mentioned elsewhere on the site: Nordstrom doesn’t seem to be carrying Citron Plus Size anymore but Dillard’s has started carrying it, but at the time they only had two styles, well they’ve added two more:

Upscale plus size clothing lines have been dropping like flies lately and the main excuse is plus size women won’t spend the money on upscale clothing. REALLY?
I’ve had my eye on the STUNNING coat from Lafayette 148 . . .
it’s only been on the Saks website for 2 weeks and ALL SIZES are sold out with the exception of Sizes 14W & 16W. The retail price? $1,148

I know Juicy Couture is made for the younger, plus size market but honestly WHO is this going to look attractive on?
Update, Nov. 21st: Wow, 3 months later and all sizes are still available even at 40% OFF – I’m shocked I tell you, simply shocked!
I love velvet so I’m always on the look out for great velvet pieces – and I stumbled upon this black velvet burnout wrap for 70% off a Brooks Brothers of all places and I knew I had to post it here.
It was originally $198 and now with the 70% OFF it’s $59.40
Several years ago DKNY did a wonderful high end plus size line but it was discontinued a few years back because not enough of the line sold at full price . . .
So I was browsing the Bloomingdales website when I saw that DKNY was back in the plus size game – albeit with a much lower price point – so the first thing I saw was a cascading type cardigan (okay, but nothing special or unique):

But then I saw this:

Is this REALLY worthy of the Donna Karan name?
I am honestly sick to death of designers with means (i.e. staffs, pattern makers, huge buying power, etc.) spewing out ugly garbage like this. (Yes, I am talking to you: Michael Kors)
I was at a show called Printsource a couple of weeks ago. For those of you who do not know what printsource is – it’s basically a show where textile designers showcase their print designs and clothing designers and manufacturers can purchase them – for a few hundred dollars you can purchase exclusive rights to the prints. And let me tell you there were tons of beautiful prints and what do we get? We get a black and yellow leopard print on a white background.
Excuse me while I go throw up.
